Private Excursion to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress and Vallisaari
An excellent, engrossing and entertaining tour with Timo that gave us an in-depth view of this UNESCO site which played a pivotal role in the geopolitics of the Baltic throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Timo is knowledgeable, entertaining and with his appreciation of the wonderful flora and fauna of the islands brings an important additional dimension to the trip. Weather was certainly challenging but that did not impair our enjoyment of this incredibly beautiful visit to the fortress islands.

This is a 5/5 star local guide. Timo and his wife Aria are wonderfully/knowledgeable travel guides. Timo toured me around Jarvenpaa and then afterward he welcomed me into his house for a dinner meal. This personal experience is what travel is about and allowed us to have a cross cultural dialogue. This was hands down the highlight of my trip to Finland. If you book a tour with Timo you will not be disappointed. Timo was able to turn me from a tourist to a temporary local! 10/10 would do again.
